


Minjuji-san is stretched over three provinces in South Korea:ChungcheongBuk-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Jeollabuk-do. Surrounding the mountain are other mountains like Samdo-bong, Seokgibong, and Gakhosan. Also, Mulhan Valley, Okso, Eumju-am and Uiyoung-gol Falls are located on the mountain, providing visitors with a number of activities and sightsseeing opportunities. Of particular historical importance is the Union Memorial Tower of the three provinces(ChungcheongBuk-do, Gyeongsangbuk_do, and Jeollabuk-do) on the top of the Samdo-bong
The name of the mountain, Cheonte, originated from the Buddhist Cheonatae order that had its main temple in Cheontae-san in the Goryeo Kingdom. Cheon Tae-san is as beautiful as the Seol Ak-san of ChungcheongBuk-do (Seol Ak-san is the Korean mountain that is famous for its beauty).
To further enjoy the mountain, organized climbing and hiking courses are available, and other famous tourist spots are located nearby.

Baekhwa-san(Posung-bong) is located on the border between YeongDong and Sangju(Kyeongsangbuk-do). Due to its many steep gorges, it is often called 'the valley of death', a name that has intrigued adventurous climbers.
When climbing the mountain, visitors can drop by the Okdong-seowon means a Confucian lecture and memorial hall to honor distinguished scholars and statemen) and the Banya-sa(temple). The Seok-cheon Stream running from Okdong-seowon to Hwanggan-myeon is too cold to put the foot into enven in the summer, so it is a popular site for the summer visitors.
High mountains surround Mulhan Valley, which runs abut 20Km from the upper stream of Hanchon Village. Hanchon means 'cold water' in Korean and the Village draws a large crowd of visitors in the summer. On the way to Samdo-bong Peak from the last bus stop of Muhan-ri are other popular sites like the Okso, Uiyoug-gol and Eumju-am waterfalls.

Okgye Waterfall boasts marvelous scenery with a 20M-long fall from the top.
A lot of poets as well as the great musician Nangye have composed poems in awe of the Okgye Waterfall scenery
Since its opening in 2003, the minjuji-san Recreational Forest has been attracting visitors for its famous scenery, like the Soback Mountains, Sleeping accommodation, camp decks, and an automated-camp field enables visitors to sleep in the forest.
Also for visitors ar hiking paths, a climbing cours, and a 13Km MTB(mountain bike) course.

Yangsanpalgyeon(Yangsan's eight most beautiful tourist spots)'s center is the Songho Tourist Resort.
Songho Tourist Resort is made up of a playground for children, bungalows, a campfire field, art park, and swimming pool. Visitors can enjoy the forest of pine trees that are more than 100 years old and the clean water running from the upper stream of the Keum-gang(river). Families and young children often come to this resort for the purpose of training their bodies and minds.
